About

Festival Field Guide exists to answer one question honestly: what gear is actually worth bringing to a festival or rave, and what is a waste of money?

Most “best festival gear” articles are written by the stores selling the gear. Of course the shop that makes the earplugs thinks its earplugs are the best. We are not that. We compare across brands, name the trade-offs, and tell you when the cheap option wins.

What we cover

  • Gear that matters at 2am and 2pm. Earplugs, hydration and electrolytes, cooling, water bottles, footwear, the stuff that decides whether day three is fun or miserable.
  • Camping and logistics. Packing lists, campsite and RV setups, and the planning that keeps a multi-day festival from falling apart.
  • Outfits and the fun stuff. Because looking good is part of the point.

How we make money

Some links on this site are affiliate links, if you buy through them, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That is what keeps us independent instead of being paid by one retailer to push its own products. It never changes our recommendations. Full details on our affiliate disclosure page.
